Research indicates that kindness and compassion lead to greater happiness. This begs the question, can kindness help us also when adversity strikes, especially serious illness, and the dying process. Can we die well, as well as live well?

As part of Dying Matters Week we are hosting an evening of teaching, reflection and guided meditation on what it is to be kind.

The evening will be lead by Trinity's Spiritual Lead, Michael Savage, and Alan Hughes, a teacher of mindfulness and meditation with the Mindfulness Association.

Alan became interested in Buddhism, and started meditating, in his late teens. In 2010, he gave up his job as a marine biologist to deepen his interest in Buddhism and meditation, and for 5 years he voluteered full time at the Tibetan Buddhist Centre in London.

He now focuses his time on teaching mindfulness and meditation.

The event is free but please RSVP using the Eventbrite form as limited space is available. If you have any questions please contact Anna Zakrzewski at [email protected] or call 020 7787 103.
