Volunteering with Royal Trinity Hospice is an exciting and rewarding experience. If you'd like to join our team and support your local community by giving a few hours of your time each week please get in touch. 

Our e-commerce volunteer will be supporting our busy online shop selling selected goods. This role requires a good eye, creative mind and a willingness to help out wherever needed!


Dates and times are to be agreed in advance with our E-commerce Manager.


Royal Trinity Hospice shops office, Unit 1 Grange Mills, Weir Road, SW12 0NE (nearest tube is Balham or Clapham South)

To be a successful candidate you will:

  • Be over 16 years old
  • Be trustworthy and reliable
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be well presented
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Have a good level of physical fitness
  • Have respect for the policies of Royal Trinity Hospice
  • Be able to support the overall aim of Royal Trinity Hospice and to act as an ambassador for the hospice

Key responsibilities

  • Researching products
  • Creating detailed product descriptions
  • Assisting the e-commerce team with photography
  • Dealing with customer enquiries
  • Uploading product descriptions and image content on to e-commerce platforms
  • Garment care

Skills and experience

  • IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office
  • Pleasant manner, both face-to-face and on the telephone
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • A great team player
  • Ability to treat with confidentiality any information which is personal, private or sensitive
