As a transport assistant your role will include:

  • Assisting patients on the minibus taking them to and from Royal Trinity.
  • With the Patient Transport Driver, to assist patients in and out of their home.
  • Being a welcoming, friendly and reliable travel companion for patients.
  • Assisting the Driver if a patient becomes unwell during the journey.
  • Feeding back relevant information from patients to the Driver.

Are you available on a Monday 11.00am-5.00pm or Tuesday 9.30am-5.00pm

In order to apply for this role you will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • To be well organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • To be trustworthy and reliable.
  • An understanding of the boundaries within the role of a volunteer.

This role will require a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check, provided free of charge by Trinity Hospice.
