As a Patient Transport Driver Volunteer your role will include:

  • Driving patients to and from our Outpatients centre in your own vehicle or the hospice car
  • Feeding back relevant information from patients to the Outpatients Transport Lead

Could you volunteer for half a day per week between Monday and Friday 9.00am-4.30pm? All we ask is that you are available to to volunteer with us for 6 months or more and for a minimum of half a day per week.

In order to apply for this role you will need:

  • A full driving licence with a minimum of 2 years driving and no endorsements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • To be well organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • To be trustworthy and reliable
  • An understanding of the boundaries within the role of a volunteer

In return, we will offer you the opportunity to develop new and existing skills and to also receive ongoing support and training where necessary. You will also be making a valuable contribution to Trinity and the thousands of people who use our services.

This role will require a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check, provided free of charge by Royal Trinity Hospice.
