As a Patient transport Driver Volunteer your role will include:

  • Driving patients to and from our Outpatients centre in your own vehicle or a hospice car.
  • Feeding back relevant information from patients to the Outpatients Transport Lead.

Could you volunteer for half a day per week between Monday and Friday 9.00am-4.30pm? All we ask is that you are available to to volunteer with us for 6 months or more and for a minimum of half a day per week.

In order to apply for this role you will need:

  • A full driving licence with a minimum of 2 years driving and no endorsements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • To be well organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • To be trustworthy and reliable.
  • An understanding of the boundaries within the role of a volunteer.

This role will require a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check, provided free of charge by Trinity Hospice.
