Sally, spent the last weeks of her long and complicated illness, at Royal Trinity Hospice. This gave her family and friends much needed and welcome time with her. Sally was brave, adventurous, compassionate and above all, fun. The hospice, was an invaluable place of warmth and safety, for us all to enjoy being with her.

What a wonderful photo of Sally, virtually unchanged since we first met in 1975, when she always had tousled hair wonderful earrings so that you knew however untidy she appeared at first sight she always looked chic and elegant, and is just one way in which she influenced me throughout my life, although I can't claim that daily earrings did the same for me! Being considered a friend of the Whirlwind Which Was Sally was a pleasure, a delight, and could certainly be a challenge and at times a very mixed blessing! She was such a tour de force, unique, and is and always will be, loved and missed. I am so very glad you brought her down to stay for the jigsaw night about four years ago, thank you for that Lulu, it was so kind of you to call me. Letter will follow probably by rather slow camel. love to you and Flossie, and all the grandchildren, Robin and Rokie
