It was the film that stirred the hearts of supporters attending our 130 Gala, and now it’s caught the eye of judges from a prestigious charity awards event. Trinity’s “Every Moment Matters” has been shortlisted in the Third Sector 2022 awards in the category ‘Best Charity Film’.

The film was produced for Royal Trinity Hospice by Satellite Pictures in collaboration with Trinity’s Communications and Marketing, and Fundraising teams. It features staff, patients and family members, who talk about why Trinity is a special place, as well as recounting special moments, poignant to them in an honest and uplifting way.

Re-watch our fantastic film here, or why not share it with someone you know to tell them about our charity.

Made for the 130 Gala, marking Trinity’s 130th anniversary, the film was played to over 400 guests who attended last November. The biennial fundraiser is key for raising funds to support our free end-of-life care. The film highlighted the impact of our care to both those new to us and those supporters with direct experience of Trinity. Emotive and inspiring in its tone, the film helped to contribute to the success of the event, ultimately raising twice as much as the previous gala.

The Third Sector Awards were established 3 years ago, with the aim of highlighting best practise and achievements in the charity sector for organisations making a real difference to people’s lives. Now the film is one of 8 finalists, and is also the only hospice in this category to be shortlisted.

Polly Balsom Associate Director of Communications and Engagement at Trinity was one of the key producers for the film. She said:

“We are delighted that this film has been shortlisted for a Third Sector award. Not only is it a great recognition in the contribution the film made to such a successful fundraising event at our 130 Gala in November 2021, but it is also a great acknowledgment of the powerful contributions of those filmed.

It was a privilege to be involved in this process and to hear such incredible stories from colleagues, patients and family members of those who have been cared for by Trinity. Their contributions were so powerful that even after the Gala we’ve continued to use the film to convey the impact of our care, explaining what we mean when we say we support people to make every moment matter.”

The final results of the awards will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 30 September.
