Trinity has recently started a new partnership with the wonderful charity Roots and Shoots, to offer volunteering opportunities to students to help them gain confidence and develop their skills.

Daniel and Harry, two Roots and Shoots students, have recently taken on volunteer roles at our retail head office in Weir Road. Daniel is volunteering in the retail warehouse, helping to sort and pack corporate donations, ready to go out for sale in our shops, and Harry is volunteering in our e-commerce team, specialising in researching, pricing and listing rare, antique and collectible books.

"It’s fun to help sort clothes, the people I work with are good and they help me if I need it". Daniel

"it’s very interesting researching all the different books. We have fun and there’s never a dull moment!" Harry

We will shortly be introducing more volunteering opportunities for Roots and Shoots students, including in the hospice garden.

We are also looking to develop partnerships with other similar local organisations. Please get in touch with our Volunteering Manager, Celia at [email protected] if your organisation who would be interested in forming a volunteering partnership with Trinity.
