Photographer Nicholas Gentilli is taking on Wainwright’s famous 'Coast to Coast' walk across England in aid of Trinity and raising extra funds by selling fabulous photographs he is taking on his way.

Nicholas set out on his 200 mile walk, which takes in the mountains of the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors, on 25 September.

Some original signed and editioned photographic images from his walk so far are already on sale on his website, with 75% of the profits being donated to Trinity.

Talking about his challenge, Nicholas said:

“The buzz of starting in St Bees and finishing on my 60th birthday in Robin Hood bay seemed a great way to fundraise. My journey will take over 16 days, walking between 12-20 miles every day, in all weathers as I make it to the other 'side'. Crossing the country and crossing into the world of being an official ‘senior.’

“It was in autumn that the nurses from Trinity Hospice helped my father pass to the other side with dignity. As the autumn leaves colour up, it seems fitting to raise some badly needed resources for this great London facility where everyone is so friendly and positive."

Hannah Lloyd from the Royal Trinity Hospice Fundraising team said:

"We're so grateful that Nicholas has chosen to support Trinity on his epic walk across the country. At a time when so many of our fundraising events and challenges have been cancelled, his support is all the more welcome.
"We are enjoying following Nicholas' progress through his fantastic photographs on Instagram. It's so great to think that people buying his images will enjoy them for years to come while helping ensure we can be here for people and their families in years to come"
