We are thrilled to announce that our Chief Executive Dallas Pounds walked away with the award for ‘Rising Chief Executive’ at the Third Sector Awards ceremony held in Central London.

Third Sector Awards acknowledge outstanding contributions from social leaders from across the sector. Prior to the award ceremony, the ‘Rising Chief Executive’ category had been whittled down to four finalists amid fierce competition. The award serves as well-deserved recognition of the outstanding contribution Dallas has made at Trinity and to the wider hospice sector during her first two years in post.

When Dallas joined Trinity in August 2013, she was tasked with bringing Trinity into the 21st century. Her motto is to put ‘a business head on a charity heart’ and she has helped to make Trinity a leader in the hospice sector by modernizing Trinity’s internal structure and processes. In the 21 months since her appointment Dallas has achieved positive cultural change throughout the organization whilst maintaining a focus on excellent delivery of care.

When asked about her award Dallas said “I am so overwhelmed to have won this award. I would like to say thank you to my amazing team at Trinity whom I feel privileged to work with.”

Trinity’s Chairman Derek Wyatt was also shortlisted for ‘Charity Chair of the Year’ coming up runner up.

A great night for Royal Trinity Hospice all round!
