Trinity Hospice is delighted to announce that our Chief Executive and Chairman have been shortlisted for this year’s prestigious Third Sector Awards.

Trinity’s Chief Executive Dallas Pounds has been shortlisted for the ‘Rising Chief Executive’ Award - for the chief executive who has made an outstanding contribution to their organisation, or the wider sector, during their first two years in post. Dallas’ nomination acknowledges her fantastic leadership at Trinity since joining in 2013. Her motto is to put ‘a business head on a charity heart’, and over the past 21 months she has focused on achieving business sustainability and making Trinity a leader in the hospice sector – all whilst maintaining Trinity’s focus on delivering excellent care. When asked about her nomination Dallas said,

“I am so delighted that the team here at Trinity nominated me for such an award. No CEO achieves change alone and I am privileged to work with an amazing group of people who have trusted me to lead them and Trinity through some big changes.”

Trinity’s Chairman Derek Wyatt has also been shortlisted for the ‘Charity Chair of the Year’ Award, which is given to the chair of a charity’s trustees who has made the most outstanding contribution to the performance of the charity during the year. This recognizes Derek’s excellent work on raising Trinity’s profile, improving Trinity’s retail arm, utilising new technology and developing how we communicate with our stakeholders. The Third Sector Awards celebrate excellence in the voluntary sector.
