Royal Trinity Hospice has appointed three new members to join its Board of Trustees. As leaders in the field of medicine, government and business, the new trustees complement the professional expertise of the existing board and will offer additional guidance to help Trinity achieve its ambitious strategic aims over the coming years.

The new trustees are leaders in their respective fields. Dr Naveen Puri is a local GP with an interest in holistic and integrated end of life care. He has worked in a number of different GP roles; in local practices, urgent care centres, and in the provision of out of hours care. William Buller is a business consultant with over 20 years of experience helping businesses innovate and change through the application of technology. He currently leads Smarter Working practice at Telefonica O2. Dr Felicity Harvey CBE is Director General, Public and International Health at the Department of Health.  She is a qualified doctor and has an international MBA from Henley Management College.

Derek Wyatt, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said, “We are delighted to welcome our three new Trustees to the Board. Dr Naveen Puri will be able to lend us his wealth of understanding of best practice in end of life care and keep us on our toes. William Buller has a rich background in digital especially in mobile communications. Dr Felicity Harvey has an extraordinary array of talents, lives locally and has worked at the highest levels inside the NHS. I look forward to working with them as Trinity moves from strength to strength in our 125th year and beyond.”

Felicity Harvey, one of the new trustees, said, “As a keen supporter of the Royal Trinity Hospice over the past 20 years, it is a privilege to be one of your new Trustees. I hope to be able to bring some of my experience, insight and knowledge from my past roles in both clinical practice and the civil service to support the Royal Trinity Hospice as it moves into the future.”

Trustees are responsible for ensuring the effective governance of the charity, working closely with the Chief Executive and the Executive Team at Trinity. Trinity has 12 trustees composed of from a range of backgrounds including finance, marketing and communications, nursing and retail. In addition to sharing their professional insights, Trustees also act as ambassadors for the charity and help us to build new partnerships and raise vital funds. All trustees are volunteers.
