What's happening News Royal Trinity Hospice featured in Boots Christmas campaign Royal Trinity Hospice nurse Simone Williams-Anglin has been featured in Boots pharmacy’s national Christmas campaign. The advert focuses on the half a million women who work on Christmas Day. Boots decided to give them a special gift and treat them to a Christmas makeover as its way of saying thanks for all their hard work. In the video, real life paramedics, nurses and firefighters are seen walking into a huge room that has been set up with dressing tables where make-up artists, hairdressers and stylists are waiting to pamper them. After their festive makeover, they walk out onto a dance floor to surprise their family and friends with their new look. Trinity Nurse Simone said, “We don’t close up shop on Christmas Day. We keep going because we care about our patients. It’s just a beautiful job. We can't give you quantity but we can definitely give you quality of life.” Listen to Simone's interview with BBC Woman's Hour about Christmas at Trinity here. Simone is one of many staff who work over the festive period to ensure people continue to receive the care they need. Our inpatient unit, community nurses and doctors and Wandsworth Care Coordination Centre are all open 365 days a year.
