Royal Trinity Hospice has appointed a new Head of Fundraising. Ben Ansell, who has over ten years of fundraising experience, will lead the team responsible for bringing in the vital funds Trinity needs to continue to provide expert end of life care in the community.

Ben brings with him a range of expertise, having worked in fundraising events, community, corporate and team management roles for small, medium and national organisations including the British Heart Foundation and Oxfam GB. Most recently, Ben spent two years managing trusts and grant fundraising for several charities in Sussex.

Ben says “It’s a great privilege for me to lead the fundraising team at Royal Trinity Hospice. I’ve never been quite so close to the day-to-day impact of a charity as I have been in my first few weeks at Trinity. I’ve seen first-hand how focussed, passionate and committed everyone is to giving the best possible end of life care and family support. It’s inspiring and something that my team and I will work tirelessly to enable.

Looking ahead I want to make sure we continue innovate, and create new opportunities for people to support Trinity, always making sure we are putting our supporters first and continuing to develop strong relationships within our local community.”

Dallas Pounds, Chief Executive at Trinity says “We are delighted to welcome Ben into our Trinity family. We are confident that he is going to be a great asset to the fundraising team, and we are looking forward to some of the exciting events coming up such as the opening of the new 125 centre north of the river.”

Royal Trinity Hospice needs to raise £9 million every year to continue to operate. If you would like to show your support, there are lots of ways to get involved. You could leave money to Trinity in your Will, take part in the record-breaking skydive, join the first overseas trek or even knit some Easter chicks. Check out the full list of events here.
