Trinity's Chief Executive Dallas Pounds will leave Trinity this week after eight years in the role. Dallas goes with the thanks and best wishes of everyone at Trinity. The process of appointing a new Chief Executive is underway and more information will be shared in due course.

Below, Dallas blogs about her time at Trinity and reflects on leading the hospice through eight busy years.

"The past 8 years as CEO of Royal Trinity Hospice have been an absolute pleasure and privilege, and a time I will look back on with fond memories.

Trinity is all about people; our staff and volunteers, supporters and funders, retail customers and donors, those who need our care and support, and those we work alongside in the wider community and healthcare sector. I have been fortunate to meet and work alongside some incredible people whose commitment, tenacity, and love for Trinity has been humbling. I often describe the staff and volunteers as creating small miracles every day, and they truly do.

There have been a lot of challenges along the way, and some fabulous opportunities. I am pleased to be leaving the hospice with an Outstanding CQC rating, a solid financial platform, great brand and reputation, fantastic charity shops, but more over an inclusive and welcoming Trinity family culture.

It is with a heavy heart that I relinquish the reins to my successor, but I am in no doubt that Trinity will go from strength to strength under their leadership, with your support, and the guidance and vision of a great Board of Trustees.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, guided, and empowered me to be CEO for the last 8 years. I wish you all every success, health, and happiness."
