Trinity's Shops Collaborate With Boutique Designer Royal Trinity Hospice provides skilled and compassionate end of life care, free of charge, to people with life-limiting illnesses and those close to them. At any one time, the hospice cares for over 700 people. It costs over £12 million a year to maintain Trinity’s services and only a quarter of that funding comes from the NHS; the remainder comes from the generosity of supporters, partners and the local community through fundraising and through donations to our 27 charity shops. One such partner is designer Bianca Elgar. Bianca creates high quality British made, versatile fashion. She chose Trinity to receive 10% of sales of the Passion Flower Skinny Scarf from her new Language of Flowers collection as it is a charity said to be close to her heart. The scarves are described simply as “Wearable Art” statement pieces inspired by a love for creativity, the expression for individuality and a passion for high quality craftsmanship. They feature brightly coloured and monochrome flower print designs that look to convey emotion. The collection has been made using the highest quality silk with deep ink penetration to show off the vivid colours and print designs on both sides of the scarf. Each item is also finished by hand. Retail Product and Logistics Manager Nicola Jibson said, “We are so proud to be collaborating with Bianca Elgar and receiving a proportion of her sales. As a team, we have a vision to set the standard for a new kind of charity shop on the high street. It is unique partnerships like this that allow us to build a brand as a quality high fashion outlet. “We feel that Bianca’s flower design particularly relates to our cause. Flowers have long been connected with rituals of death and dying. They are symbolic of our love for the person who has died, as well as of the regenerative and healing power of nature. We encourage supporters to visit her website to purchase these one-of-a-kind pieces, where 10% of profits will go directly towards helping Trinity to help those facing long term illness, and their families, in the local community.” You can find the nearest of Trinity’s shops to you here, and purchase the Passion Flower Scarf from the Bianca Elgar Language of Flowers collection here.
