Almost 100 Trinity volunteers from across the hospice and shops attended a Summer Party this Tuesday in the hospice gardens. The annual event was organised by staff to say thank you for the invaluable contribution of volunteers to the hospice.

The London-themed event was held on the hottest day of the year so far. Staff from across the hospice and shops came along to say thank you by helping to serve drinks and snacks. There was live music from Indie-pop group, Austeya, a raffle with fantastic prizes donated by local companies and delicious food, including pie and mash, served by Mypie.

Adam Marsh, Volunteer Services Manager, said “The night was a great success, the weather was incredible and it seemed as though everyone had a great time. The party is a chance for us to say thank you to all of our volunteers for their continued commitment and generous support of Royal Trinity Hospice. We couldn’t do it without you”

Trinity has over 450 volunteers across the hospice and retail teams. Trinity is accredited with the Investing in Volunteer status. The volunteer services team will organise another get together for volunteers nearer Christmas. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for Trinity, check out our current vacancies here.
