You got us there! A video made by Royal Trinity Hospice that helped raise thousands of pounds after being screened at a major fundraising event is now a finalist in the 2023 Smiley Charity Film Awards. ‘Every Moment Matters’ received enough public votes to reach the finals, including those cast by Trinity supporters, thanks to widespread promotion. Over 400 films entered into this year’s competition, with all the finalists going on to be put forward to the judging panel. The judges will watch and score the films, to determine overall category winners. The film, featuring Trinity staff, patients and their family members, captures personal accounts of the support given by the hospice and special moments lived out both on the inpatient unit and in patients’ own homes, where over 80% of the care the hospice provides take place. Created for screening at the Trinity 130 Gala held in November 2021, the film powerfully connected with guests on the night, helping to play a part in raising a staggering £600,000 at the event. The Smiley Charity Film Awards were established to raise more awareness of the work of not-for-profits, bringing greater exposure and new supporters to thousands of good causes. Whilst Trinity awaits the outcome of the judging round there is a further chance to win a People’s Choice Award in the category we have entered into. People will be invited to vote for ‘Every Moment Matters’ for a final time from 13 February. More information on how to cast your vote will be shared on our social media channels. Every Moment Matters was produced for Royal Trinity Hospice by Satellite Pictures in collaboration with the Communications and Marketing team. Manage Cookie Preferences
