Salary: AfC 6 (FTE £32,839 - £43,315)

Hours: 15 hours per week

We have an exciting vacancy for an Art Therapist to join Trinity’s Patient and Family Support team. The Patient and Family Support team provides a range of psychological, spiritual and social support to patients with life-limiting illnesses and those important to them (including children and young people).  

The services of the Patient and Family Support team are provided in the community, in Trinity’s inpatient centre or as outpatient services.

About the role

  • Planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based psychological support for patients and those important to them including children
  • Provide psycho-social education to patients and those important to them
  • Participate in the collection and the clinical use of outcome measures across the service
  • Provide day to day management and support/supervision to the art therapy volunteers and trainee

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold an up to date HCPC registration and an MA/MSc in Art Therapy
  • Be competent across a range of art therapy approaches and modalities
  • Show a passion for working with and supporting the psychological needs of adults with a life-limiting condition and those close to them, with a real commitment to delivering the highest level of care at all times
  • Possess excellent communication skills
