Responsibilities of a Royal Trinity Hospice Sister/Charge Nurse Lead on the planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based nursing care for patients and their carers. Line management of Band 5 Staff Nurses and IPU Healthcare Assistants. In the absence of the ward managers within the hospice to undertake the role of Nurse-In-Charge (NIC). Act as a Clinical Shift Leader for the ward. Anticipate the changing needs of patients and families. To not only want to develop yourself but also those within your team. Opportunities to develop as a Link Nurse Skills and experience required Up to date NMC registration. Band 5 and/or 6 experience supported by up to date professional and clinical knowledge and skills. The ability to lead or manage with a flexible approach and proactive mindset. A passion for working with and supporting the needs of adults with a life-limiting condition, with a real commitment to delivering the highest level of care at all times. Excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
