Salary Band: Negotiable according to current consultant salary scale plus London Weighting.

Hours: This is a part time post (6PAs) with a 1 in 7 second on call commitment (2% on call allowance) and has been approved by the Royal College of Physicians. 

Location: Royal Trinity Hospice, London SW4 0RN 

About the role:

The post is for 6 PAs; 4 PAs providing direct clinical care and 2 PAs supporting professional activities.

The post holder will provide in-patient as well as community care.

The post-holder will share with colleagues in the training and professional development of the Specialist Registrars and other medical trainees. They will also be involved with the audit, research and teaching programmes.

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience in a wide range of palliative care settings
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and practice of palliative care
  • Enthusiasm for teaching
  • Full registration with the GMC
  • On or within three months of being on specialist register for Palliative medicine
  • Knowledge/experience of Primary Care Sector
  • Experience of training in research methodology
  • Experience of clinical audit
