About the role:

Trinity’s fundraising team run a number of events throughout the year, often on evenings and weekends, to help raise vital funds for the hospice's services. We require the help of Fundraising Event Volunteers to ensure that those who attend community events have a pleasant experience, events are well set up and that we make the most of fundraising opportunities.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Under direction of the events co-ordinator, help set up and decorate Trinity events.
  • Welcoming guests and marshalling.
  • Help to man stands and allocate raffle tickets.
  • Serving food and drinks.
  • Raising money through bucket collections.

Requirements and recommendations:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Well-organised, efficient and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to work independently and experience of working as part of a team.
  • Discretion and tact, complete confidentiality.
  • Trustworthy and reliable.
  • Willingness to be outside whatever the weather as events run year round.

Mandatory Training:

All volunteers will have a telephone conversation with the Volunteer Services Manager to ensure awareness of health & safety, confidentiality and all the necessary information a volunteer needs prior to undertaking their role.
