About the role:

Volunteering with Royal Trinity Hospice is an exciting and rewarding experience. If you would like to join our team and support your local community by giving a few hours of your time each week please get in touch. 

Our Admin Assistant Volunteer provides support to our Putney Furniture team and will support the general smooth running of our shop. 

Location: Putney Furniture Royal Trinity Hospice shop; 212-216 Putney Bridge Road; SW15 2NA

The key responsibilities of the role:

  • To take calls and pass on messages
  • To arrange furniture collections from customers’ homes
  • To manage correspondence
  • Answering telephone enquiries
  • Filing and scanning
  • Data entry
  • Helping with the stationery orders for the shop
  • Stationery stock control
  • Using Microsoft Office

Requirements and recommendations:

  • Be over 16 years old
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • Have good communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Be well presented
  • Have good interpersonal skills – liaising with shop staff; drivers and customers
  • Have respect for the policies of Royal Trinity Hospice
  • Be able to support the overall aim of Royal Trinity Hospice and to act as an ambassador for the hospice
  • Dates and times are to be agreed in advanced with our Office Manager
  • IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office
  • Pleasant manner, both face-to-face and on the telephone
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • A great team player
  • Ability to treat with confidentiality any information which is personal, private or sensitive
