Trinity’s award-winning gardens provide wonderful views and a pleasant environment for patients, families, and staff members. Our garden volunteers support our head gardener to keep the garden looking fresh and thriving throughout the year. If you are looking for a volunteer role that really allows you to get stuck in, this is the one for you!

What does a garden volunteer do?

In this role you will have the opportunity to

  • Help to keep the Trinity garden looking good all year by completing tasks such as weeding, pruning and watering
  • Help with the propagation of plants and other greenhouse work
  • Help with the planting and placement of new plants

How much time will I need to commit?

Ordinarily our volunteers do one four hour shift per week, with the opportunity to do more shifts if required. We currently have opportunities for new volunteers to help on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. 

What are we looking for?

  • An interest in or experience of gardening/horticulture
  • Enthusiasm and motivation
  • Good communication skills
  • An ability to work as a team, as well as under your own motivation
  • An interest in Trinity’s work
  • A commitment to abide by Trinity’s policies and procedures
