A fantastic mum and nan, sister and auntie, friend to so many, Val lived life to the full. Whether travelling the world, watching Cliff Richard or following her beloved Fulham FC, she built networks of friends all over the globe. She did all this despite being widowed so young, and carried on without the love of her life Alan by her side. In July 2021, and completely out of the blue, Val was diagnosed with late stage Pancreatic cancer. She dealt with this blow with her customary strength. Despite gruelling treatment Val retained her sense of humour and strong Christian faith, and carried on with the support of friends and family. Some weeks ago Val came to Royal Trinity Hospice where she was treated with such care and compassion that we can never repay. Their care and compassion continues, but now it's for us. Please help us to support other families in this situation in Mum's name.
