As an inpatient, you'll be surrounded by a team of dedicated staff and volunteers whose expertise and support will be available to you and your family when you need it. We can help with the physical, emotional, social or spiritual impact of your illness and we're here at every stage to help you make decisions about your care.

Our inpatient centre has been designed to give you comfort, privacy and space to have multiple visitors. There's no set routine at Trinity – you can stay in the privacy of your room or relax in the bright open areas, coffee lounges, café and gardens. We encourage you to treat the inpatient centre as you would your own home. Your family and friends, including children, are welcome at any time.

The inpatient centre booklet below has further information about how our rooms are furnished and what you may like to bring with you if you are staying with us. Alternatively, you can take our 360 virtual reality video tour so you know what to expect before your visit to us.

Our en-suite inpatient rooms are arranged over two floors, each with 11 rooms and a three-bedded room for those patients who prefer company. Every room has a balcony or a terrace overlooking our gardens that beds can be easily moved on to.

Visiting hours

There are no visiting hours - your family and friends are welcome at any time, and if you wish, we can put extra beds in your room so they can also stay the night with you.

Meals

As an inpatient you can eat what you want, when you want – we prepare your meals to order on site and can cater for any special dietary requirements.

Returning home

Many people find that a relatively short period of inpatient care makes a real difference to how they are feeling and enables them to return home feeling more comfortable. Around 40% or our inpatients come for a short stay and then go home. Trinity has just 28 beds and there is a high demand for them which means we can't be a permanent alternative to care in your own home, care home or nursing home.

If your symptoms are well managed but it would be difficult for you to go back to your own home, then we will help you and your family and friends to find other places where you can continue your care.
