We spoke to Mary about why she chose to volunteer with Trinity and what she enjoys most about her time here:

"I’ve been volunteering in Trinity’s Fulham shop since it opened in 2001. I had just finished a job and had some time on my hands. There was a sign on the shop door saying ‘volunteers needed’. I knocked and the manager at the time just said, ‘When can you start?’.

I like being front of house in the shop because I like meeting all the customers who come in and out. I enjoy selling things and talking to people. The shop is very local to me and I’ve gotten to know lots of people in the area through my volunteering.

My main motivation is to support the hospice, that’s what matters to me. I also raise money for Trinity through performing with my choir, and always encourage my friends to donate here."
