As we kick off a new financial year we know conversations are taking place about how businesses plan to have an impact in their local communities in the year ahead. Many of the incredible businesses that support us do so because they recognise the key role that Trinity plays in their local community, or because we’ve been there to support a valued colleague, friend or family member in the past. Many are also looking for ways to bring their workforce together, promote their internal values or just have some good old fashioned fun.

Whatever the reason for your business choosing to increase its community impact, there are a range of ways you can get your business involved at Trinity. As a local charity, we can tell you stories of what your contribution has helped us deliver right on your doorstep. We’ll be on hand to celebrate your successes, support you with fundraising or events, and to invite you to our own.

Here’s how you can do it...

Have Fun, Feel Good

As you would expect, Trinity has places at the major runs and challenge events in London including the London Marathon and the Royal Parks Half. We’ve also thrown a few more unusual challenges into the mix for our 2019 calendar, so you and your team can take part in the London Marathon on wheels, trek along the Jurassic coast or head further afield and run a marathon in Brighton or Paris. We’ve got something for everyone – from your team’s thrill-seekers who want to hurl themselves out of a plane to those looking for something more community focused with our Family Walk and Fun Day.

Choose Trinity for a year

Choosing Trinity as your business’s Charity of the Year is a way for your business to have a sustained impact on our hospice over a long period. Charity of the Year partnerships help engage and inspire your workforce and build strong links across organisations. They are an excellent opportunity to come up with fun, newsworthy and even award-winning activities that raise awareness, profile and funds.

Your donations don’t have to be cold hard cash

Have you ever been to one of our 30 charity shops? If so, you’ll know that we pride ourselves on offering high quality new and pre-loved items for sale. We’re always looking to build new partnerships with retailers and wholesalers to boost the wonderful stock donations that come from the public. And you’d be in good company – businesses making stock donations to Trinity range from global high fashion brands to local artisan jewellers. And we make it easy for you – we offer free stock clearances and we’ll always thank you through our social channels after you’ve donated. Don’t forget you get corporate tax relief on donated stock too!

Sponsorship

Throughout the year we host several highly popular, well attended events, which we have sponsorship opportunities for. An excellent way to build your brand locally and amongst our community, our events team can help you understand our various sponsorship packages and event audiences and can also help produce bespoke packages based on your needs and budget.

Payroll Gifts

Payroll giving is a fantastic and simple way to help us ensure our patients can live every moment. Better still, it’s a really tax effective way to give because your donations are deducted before tax is paid on them. So if you donate £10 each month, £8 comes from your salary and the taxman pays the rest (and it’s even better if you’re on a higher tax rate). And the best part? Regular donations like those through payroll giving mean that we can plan ahead to make sure your gifts are being put to the best possible use.
