Trinity has launched a new campaign to encourage donations of stock to its 29 shops.

The “Giving is Good” campaign aims to generate good quality donations of clothing, accessories and homeware that can be sold in Trinity’s shops, which are situated across south west and central London.

Our shops raised over £4.5 million last year to help Trinity continue delivering free end of life care to over 2,300 people. Only one quarter of the hospice’s annual income is covered by NHS funding so Trinity’s shops and fundraising activities must raise over £9.5 million each year.

Trinity’s Retail Director Andrew Adair said: “Our shops play a major role in generating the vital income that Trinity needs to continue providing end of life care in our community and we are reliant on generous donations from our supporters to stock them.

“Our ‘Giving is Good’ campaign seeks to remind our brilliant customers that their donations really make a difference to our patients and their families – we simply would not be able be here without their support.

“We know a lot of people are having end of summer or back-to-school clear-outs and our message is simple – we need your unwanted items to help raise money so we can help people right here in our community.

Last year our fabulous customers and donors helped our shops raise 25% more profit than the year before. We are so grateful for every donation or purchase made in our shops and I would like to thank every donor in advance for their support. Whether you buy or donate, what you do in our shops really makes a difference”

Special donation bags can be collected from any of Trinity’s 29 shops but donations are welcome in any packaging. Donations of furniture or ten or more bags can be collected by Trinity. By signing up to Gift Aid in store, donors can help Trinity raise an additional 25p for every £1 raised with their donation.
