Trinity has published a new Impact Framework, the first of its kind for the hospice, which aims to better demonstrate the different ways that it has an impact on patients, carers and families.

The Framework outlines four key areas where Trinity aims to have a positive impact: providing excellent clinical care; providing individualised support for patients and families; planning well for death and reaching those who need us. The information in the Framework corresponds to the 2017-18 financial year and combines clinical and quality data with the words and stories of patients and their families who have experienced care at Trinity.

Dallas Pounds, Chief Executive at Trinity said: “We know we provide excellent compassionate care, that we enable people to have a good death and support those who are close to them. But charities like Trinity are quite rightly under pressure from our communities of supporters, donors, stakeholders and patients, to robustly demonstrate the difference we make, in simple terms.

“Earlier this year, our board challenged us to better demonstrate our impact and I am delighted with the progress we’ve made to date, and with the Impact Framework we’ve published today.

“Demonstrating our impact will continue to be a key organisational priority for us over the next few years and I hope that during that time we will continue to find opportunities to celebrate the significant impact Trinity has on thousands of lives every year in an accessible, engaging, transparent and accurate way.”
