Wandsworth Friends raise £87,000 The Wandsworth Friends of Royal Trinity Hospice have raised an incredible £87,000 for Trinity at their 31st annual summer garden party. The annual fundraiser, kindly sponsored by Savills, was held in Trinity’s award-winning gardens. Over 450 guests attended to help raise vital funds for their local hospice. The garden party featured a wishing tree and auction, including an opportunity to ‘sponsor a nurse’ which raised an amazing £16,000. Trinity receives only a quarter of its income from the NHS and must raise over £11 million every year to continue providing our free care. Events such as the summer garden party are invaluable in ensuring we can continue providing this care to 2,500 people across south west and central London each year. The Wandsworth Friends have organised events and fundraisers in the local community since 1985, raising over £1 million and vital awareness for Trinity in the community we serve. Dallas Pounds, CEO at Trinity, said: We are always amazed at the effort and dedication of the Wandsworth Friends to hosting such a fantastic event each summer. The summer garden party yet again surpassed expectations, and to have raised £87,000 is an incredible achievement. Without our local supporters, Trinity would be unable to continue providing the care our community relies on, and we are so appreciative for the Wandsworth Friends’ continued support in helping us do so. Emma Firth, chair of the Wandsworth Friends Summer Garden Party committee said: We would like to thank everyone who attended for making this year’s garden party such a success, and once again extend our thanks to Savills for their ongoing support. In continued support, Savills have extended the following offer Further to the hugely successful summer party at Royal Trinity Hospice, Savills are delighted to extend the following offer throughout July and August to further extend their support to the charity. If anyone in south west London invites Savills to come and value their property during July and August, and then we sell the property on their behalf, we will donate £500 to Royal Trinity Hospice. Alternatively, if we let the property on their behalf, we will donate £250.00.
