We spoke to Petrina and Flossie about why they volunteer with Trinity:

Flossie, the Irish Doodle, officially became a therapy dog last year. She did a little bit of training but is one of those dogs who is naturally calm and basically loves everything! Flossie enjoys meeting people and I thought that I would really enjoy volunteering too as it’s nice to feel that you’re doing something that gives back.

I found out about Trinity from another volunteer. We were chatting one day when we met on the Common whilst walking our dogs. She mentioned that she volunteers for Trinity and thought it would be ideal for me and Flossie as we live close by.

Trinity has such a lovely, gentle, warm feel about it, and that comes from the people who work there. It’s so peaceful and calming to walk through the doors, and everyone has been so welcoming and friendly, it’s a joy to visit.
