Salary: AfC Band 7 (£47,154 - £52,936 pa including HCA Supplement)

Royal Trinity Hospice is the oldest hospice in the UK and we are committed to providing high quality, evidence- based palliative and end of life care for those who need us. We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible Practice Educator to support the continuing development of clinical staff.

Working with the Head of Quality, you will take a lead role in developing and delivering internal and external multidisciplinary education and training. You will have a high level of education, mentoring skills and be able to use a variety of methods to engage others in their learning and development.

Responsibilities of a Royal Trinity Hospice Practice Educator

  • Educate and inspire our staff to be the best they can be.
  • Work closely with Heads of Services to identify the learning needs of their teams.
  • Co-ordinate student nurse placements and mentorship.
  • Develop and deliver education workshops for internal and external delegates.

Skills and experience required  

  • Up to date and valid NMC registration.
  • Teaching qualification/ Mentorship course.
  • Experience of working in a palliative and end of life care setting.
  • Excellent teaching skills and ability to work collaboratively across the organisation.
