On Sunday 22 May 2022, Rebecca will be running the Hackney Half Marathon to raise money for our care. Find out how her training has been going and her motivation for running for Trinity!

"This is going to be my first half marathon race as I only started running during lockdown so I am very nervous but excited! I have always been very active but running is still very new to me. The training is going really well. Thankfully I am training with some of my friends which is great motivation and the weather has been pretty good over the last few months which has encouraged me to get outside more.

The main reason I want to fundraise for Trinity is that I am currently a staff nurse working in the inpatient unit and it is such a beautiful place.

We provide care to patients and their families and try to give them the perfect end to their life. Whether that’s surrounded by family and friends, visits from their pets or listening to their favourite music while sitting looking out into our beautiful garden, we will try and ensure they are living every moment up until their death, symptom free. I feel really blessed to work at Trinity!"

"I absolutely love my job and love that myself and my colleagues can provide the most amazing care for our patients and their families all for free. I just hope we can continue to do this for a very long time and the more money we raise, the longer we can!"
