Salary: £23,836 - £25,187 pa (Trinity Band C)

Hours: 37.5 Hours/week; Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Admin Assistant to join our retail team in Retail Head Office in Balham.

Royal Trinity Hospice is the oldest hospice in the country and has embarked on a new five-year strategy to transform our model of care to support even more people and their loved ones. This is an exciting time to be joining the organisation as the Retail Department brings vital funds for the Hospice.

In this role, you will assist in the admin tasks of the Retail Head Office and be point of contact for shops-based staff, customers, and donors over the phone. Your main goal will be the smooth functioning of the shops and office, and to answer or direct queries form colleagues, donors, and customers efficiently to the right department.

Overall Purpose of the role

To support the Retail Business Manager in the administrative tasks of the wider retail organisation with an onsite presence overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail Head Office and assisting the Property Manager with several admin tasks.

Skills and experience required

  • Good mannerism and customer-service approach on the phone
  • Good level of computer skills with experience of database software and Microsoft office package (outlook, word, excel) at user level
  • Previous office experience preferably gained within a fashion-based organization.
  • Proven experience of working with a team to achieve business objectives
  • Excellent verbal and non verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and organization skills, being able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage your own calendar
  • Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
  • Ability to make good commercial decisions
  • Previous experience in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • General interest in fashion and retail
  • General understanding of the key drivers of charity retail
  • Understanding of the work that goes on in a hospice
