Royal Trinity Hospice is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Therapies team. Our team of specialist palliative care therapists (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Complementary Therapy) provide a wide range of holistic support to patients with progressive, life-limiting illness and their carers.

This role focuses on providing a specialist patient-centred Physiotherapy service to patients and carers accessing Trinity services.

Responsibilities of a Royal Trinity Hospice Senior Physiotherapist 

  • To work independently and as part of the inter-disciplinary team (IDT) applying specialist physiotherapy clinical skills, including holistic assessment, treatment planning, goal setting, intervention and evaluation (use of outcome measures).
  • To work within the Therapies team, and as an active member of the IDT, understanding profession specific roles, liaising and attending IDT meetings and relevant clinical and case planning meetings.
  • Communicate effectively at every level within the organisation and in the external environment, maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and peers.
  • To be an active contributor in the development of Physiotherapy services, in line with the Therapies departmental and Trinity wide objectives/work plan.

Skills and experience required

  • CSP Registered Physiotherapist with up to date HCPC registration.
  • Experience in a range of clinical areas e.g. elderly rehabilitation, general medicine, respiratory, palliative care, oncology, neurology, and musculoskeletal.
  • Impeccable assessment, treatment intervention and goal setting skills.
  • Enthusiasm and a flexible attitude to work.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team.
  • Show a passion for working with and supporting the needs of adults with a life-limiting condition, with a real commitment to delivering the highest level of care at all times.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
