Ways to volunteer Volunteers are crucial to our work. We rely on people's generous donation of their time and skills to help us continue to be there for those who need us. There are so many ways you can get involved: in the hospice, in the community or in our 27 shops. Take some inspiration from the ideas below. Hospice We have a number of patient facing roles that provide assistance to patients, families and staff on our 28 bed inpatient unit and our fantastic outpatient services. Some of these roles include counselling, art therapy and complementary therapy. We also have openings for admin, gardening and fundraising. All our current vacancies can be seen here Community Many patients living at home really enjoy coming into the hospice to take part in groups in our outpatients department. However many people struggle to travel to the hospice independently. Could you be a Patient Transport Driver to help them arrive safely? Patients who can't leave their home often benefit from the company of a Befriending Volunteer who can visit them once a week. Is this something you could give time to? Shops Whether you are in our office in Balham, in one of our shops or out and about with our driver, all of the funds you help us generate go straight back to our hospice in Clapham.
