Philippa/Phil/Mum/Granny died on 11 December 2024 at Royal Trinity Hospice, Clapham after receiving nearly three weeks of attentive, humane and very life affirming care from the team there. Attentiveness, humanity and life affirmation are all attributes which we - Philippa's family - associate with her. She quickly developed connections with many of the staff and indeed one of her final intelligible utterances was asking one of the doctors how her holiday to Dubai had been the previous week. Trinity countered the most negative and limiting experience in Philippa's life with the kind of positivity and generosity only she could match. We would love it if you could not only support the work of this truly wonderful institution but also remember Philippa in doing so. No donation is too small ... or indeed too big! Philippa would have been delighted to know she was able to contribute something to the hospice after her death (indeed we rather fear that in other circumstances she would have found any excuse to go down to Clapham and tap her credit card or buy some greetings cards - we suggest you channel those same instincts - RTH deserves it!)
