Executive team Emily Carter - Chief Executive Emily has 15 years of leadership experience within the National Health Service. She was previously the Divisional Director of Operations for acute services at the Royal London Hospital and delivered the emergency care response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Emily has previously held senior operational roles at Kings College Hospital and national roles at NHS England. Emily took up her role as Chief Executive of Royal Trinity Hospice in December 2021. Sam Lund - Medical Director Sam has worked in a wide variety of settings across London including both the acute and independent sectors. She joined Trinity in 2010 having completed her specialist training. Sam is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and has a postgraduate MA in Ethics. She is passionate about individualised patient care. Anthony Davison - Director of Fundraising Anthony has years of experience in corporate partnerships, major donor work, approaching grant makers and helping to build successful supporter relationships. Following an early career in banking in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, Anthony went on to work with The British Lung Foundation, creating new revenue streams including corporate partnerships. He spent 3 years as the National Partnerships Manager for St John Ambulance where he developed new corporate partners, significant trust and statutory funding and innovative new income streams. Sara Griffin - Finance and Resources Director Sara joined Trinity in March 2019. She spent over 10 years in FTSE 100 companies Centrica & BP gaining experience in a broad range of finance roles before moving to the charity sector in 2015. Sara is a CIMA qualified accountant and holds a degree in law. Sonia Henry – Director of Nursing and Quality Sonia has over 30 years of nursing experience in the NHS, working across the acute, primary care and adult community settings. Her specific areas of interest and expertise include nursing workforce, patient safety and outcomes, patient experience, governance, workforce planning, e-rostering, adult safeguarding, and evidence-based practice. Before joining Trinity, Sonia was Head of Nursing within Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. Daniel Holloway - Director of Retail Daniel joined Trinity in 2019 having spent the previous twenty years in senior retail leadership positions in Harrods, Tiffany & Co and House of Fraser. During his career Daniel has created and delivered commercial strategies that have driven sales, service and operational excellence, all delivering a positive impact on both customer loyalty and commercial performance. Daniel has a passion for people and sees the staff and volunteers as the heart of Trinity Retail. Patricia Mbasani - Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development Patricia joined Trinity in November 2019 with many years’ experience in large, medium sized, complex public, education and charity organisations. She has increased efficiency and effectiveness in organisations through her leadership and ability to manage change. Director-level experience has involved shaping corporate strategy, talent development programmes and managing complex projects. Patricia was Director of HR at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices for over four years and before that Head of HR at MS Society for seven years. Patricia is a fellow of the CIPD and has a postgraduate MSc in Public Service Management. Isatta Sisay - Director of Patient Services Isatta has over 20 years of oncology and specialist palliative experience in the NHS. She joined Trinity 17 years ago as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and has most recently provided leadership within community nursing as Head of Clinical Operations. Isatta’ s special areas of interest is high-level service delivery and implementation of new services. She holds exceptional operational management skills and a clear vision for Trinity’s clinical services. Isatta has worked on projects including widening our reach to the homeless population within our catchment area and most recently integrating the Wandsworth End of Life Care Coordination Service into our core community services offer. Isatta became Director of Patient Services at Trinity in March 2023.
