Executive team

Dallas Pounds - Chief Executive Officer

A specialist palliative care nurse by background and with vast experience of the sector, Dallas joined Trinity as Chief Executive in 2013, having held previous senior management roles at Terrence Higgins Trust and Buckinghamshire PCT.

As CEO of Trinity, Dallas endeavours to inspire and motivate her colleagues to bring the most authentic version of themselves to work to ensure the best experience for patients and their families, staff and volunteers. In 2015 she won the award for "Rising Chief Executive Officer" at the Third Sector Annual Awards in recognition of her contribution at the helm of Trinity and as a leader in the wider hospice sector. One of her strategic aims is for Trinity to be at the forefront of specialist palliative and end of life care. Her "business head on a charity heart" motto ensures that Trinity has a sustainable future within an ever-changing healthcare environment.

Dallas is passionate about championing fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement (FREDIE) across “the Trinity family” and the wider hospice sector. A co-founder of the London hospices LGBT network, Dallas has been instrumental in a range of initiatives to promote this ethos within Trinity and further afield, including committing Trinity to become the first hospice to be a Stonewall Diversity Champion, numerous interviews, speaking engagements and research contributions.

Led by Dallas, Trinity’s work around FREDIE resulted in the hospice being listed in the National Centre for Diversity’s top 100 index in 2019, the first ever hospice to be listed and one of only two healthcare providers nationally. In October 2019 Dallas was included on the annual list of OUTstanding LGBT+ Public Sector Leaders, celebrating people who are helping to make their workplace more welcoming and who are making a significant contribution to LGBT+ inclusion outside their workplace.

Outside of Trinity, Dallas is a trustee of Greensleeves Care which manages more than 20 care homes across England.
