Roddy was an exceptional man loved and respected across all generations. A kind, humorous or wise word always at hand with that ever present ‘twinkle’ in his eye. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who always had time for us all. He made friends wherever he went - doffing his panama and passing the time of day to one and all. An elegant true gentleman of his time. He is sorely missed. Roddy spent his last few weeks in Royal Trinity Hospice where he was looked after with the utmost care and compassion from everyone. We were so fortunate to be able to have him there knowing that he was in the best hands. As a family we cannot thank them enough for all that they did to make Roddy’s last days as peaceful and comfortable as was possible.
