In Memory

Simon Hodge

07 Feb 1953 - 01 Jul 2026

Remembering a curmudgeonly bloke with a heart of gold, Simon was loved by many for his loyalty, strong principles, intellect, dry sense of humour and widely-expressed opinions. An avid fan of cricket, rugby, Scandi Noir and box-sets, Simon was a proud and private man, as tough as they come, and never self-pitying. He battled valiantly with cancer for two and half years and scored a strong innings of 73 - although he'd likely have said that after his 50 he should have gone on to make the century. Adored by his wife and three children, we will all miss him greatly. It goes without saying, though, that he lives on in the three of us, and we will never forget him. We would love to thank the Royal Trinity Hospice for their fantastic care on Simon's last day. It made an unquantifiable difference and we would be so proud to support their work here, if you would like to make a donation in his memory.
