Daniel was an exceptional man. He was very socially conscious and an active member of civil society. He always stuck up for the underdog and spent his life quietly helping those around him in whatever ways he could. In his latter days the care he received at the hands of the staff of Royal Trinity Hospice, Clapham was truly exceptional. They made his time there easy by anticipating his needs, thus relieving him of the burden of asking for help - something Daniel would rarely do.
