We rely on the generosity of your donations to keep our London charity shops stocked. All the proceeds from our shops go towards providing compassionate end of life care in our hospice and your local community. If you are thinking of making a donation of goods to Trinity, please read the guidelines below about what we can and cannot accept as donations in our shops, thank you. What to donate to Trinity We gratefully accept: good quality women's, men's and children's clothing good quality shoes, accessories, handbags and jewellery good quality homeware Unfortunately in most of our shops we are unable to accept the following donated items, either for health and safety reasons, due to changes we have had to make in our shops because of COVID-19, or because our shops no longer sell them: books CDs and DVDs linens, bedding, duvets and pillows prams or baby car seats toys and games medical equipment electrical items See other ways how you can donate your old books, DVDs, CDs and games to Trinity. Ways to donate Donate goods at your local Trinity charity shop We have shops across London, so pop in to your nearest store to donate. Our shop staff will not be able to accept any donations of any of the items on the list outlined above, either because we no longer sell those items in our shops or for health and safety or hygiene reasons. Don't forget to Gift Aid your donations if you can so we can claim an additional 25% of the sale value of your items at no additional cost to you. Ask any member of our shops team about becoming a Gift Aider. Find your nearest Trinity shop Book a collection from our drivers If your donations meet our criteria and you live within 3 miles of a Royal Trinity Hospice shop, we can arrange for our drivers to collect them, at no cost to you. Find out more about arranging a collection Donation drop-off Our latest donation service allows you to drop off your donations directly at Retail HQ. There's no need to book a time or call ahead, whether you're walking over with bags in hand or filling up the car, our doors are open for you to drop off your preloved goods at your convenience. Our drop-off service is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8am and 10am. All donations will need to be bagged or boxed to ensure ease of handling. Our shop staff can help you ensure that we can claim Gift Aid on your donations. How your donations help Last year, it cost £16m to run Trinity. Just 26% of which came from the NHS. Thanks to donations like yours, our shops raise an incredible £5m to support our vital end-of-life and palliative care services. Your donation also makes the first class palliative and end of life care we provide completely free charge to patients and their families, and ensures we're accessible to everyone who needs our care, whenever and wherever they need it.
