1 December 2025

Royal Trinity Hospice has appointed three new Trustees to the Board following an open recruitment process.

The appointments of Nicholas Bull, Richard Hudson and Matt Passante further build on the expertise and experience of Trinity’s existing Board of Trustees. Their appointments have been confirmed by the Board and take effect from 1 December 2025.

Professor Suzanne Shale, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said:

“I am thrilled to welcome Nicholas, Richard and Matt to Trinity’s Board of Trustees and look forward to working with them.

That we are able to bring on board such outstanding candidates is testament to the esteem that Trinity is held in, and Nicholas, Richard and Matt’s passion for ensuring that Trinity’s long-term sustainability and impact is preserved.”

The appointments are a key element of the Board’s plan to retain a skill mix and in-depth knowledge of the organisation among trustees, prior to the terms of trustees Gerry Manley, James Piper (Honorary Treasurer), and Alison Petit expiring in the next 12-18 months.
