Royal Trinity Hospice has welcomed Emily Carter, who begins her new role as Chief Executive.

Emily brings 15 years of leadership experience within the National Health Service where she has most recently been Divisional Director of Operations for acute services at the Royal London Hospital and delivered the emergency care response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On joining Trinity, Emily said:

“I’m delighted to be joining Trinity and am grateful for such a warm welcome. I will be getting to know the team over the coming weeks and spending time with them in the hospice, out in the community and in our shops.

“We know that demand for our specialist services will only increase in the years to come. I look forward to working collaboratively with my new colleagues and partners to develop future plans that allow us to support even more people, through developing innovative models of working whilst retaining the same standard of outstanding care that Trinity is known for.”

Trinity’s Chairman, Adrian Williams said:

“The board welcomes Emily to Trinity and we look forward to working closely with her.

“Emily joins Trinity at the end of our 130th year, a year in which we have worked hard to shape the future of the hospice beyond the pandemic. I am delighted that she will be leading us beyond this milestone anniversary, as we look to expand our reach in the community and secure the funds we need to do this.”
