Warehouse Operative Salary: £14.87 per hour (Mulberry PayScale, Grade Beech, Level 1) Location: Hybrid/Remote - Unit 10 Warehouse, Weir Road, SW12 0PS (with occasional requirement to travel to sites) Hours: Bank contract As a Bank Warehouse Operative at our warehouse you will play a key role in supporting the vital funding needed to support the free care provided by Royal Trinity Hospice. About the role Delivering safe, accurate and efficient warehouse operations that support patient care, ensuring stock is received, stored, prepared and dispatched correctly Working confidently both independently and as part of a wider team, including during lone working periods, while following agreed safe systems of work Ensuring stock reaches hospice sites safely and on time Maintaining high standards of health, safety, security and housekeeping within the warehouse environment Carrying out regular stock checks, reporting discrepancies, damages or risks promptly Following lone worker procedures, including dynamic risk assessments, communication and escalation protocols Playing an active role in ensuring Royal Trinity Hospice resources are handled responsibly and used effectively to support patients and families Supporting deliveries and collections, including occasional driving of company vans, and providing flexibility to cover driver holidays and absences to ensure continuity of service Skills and experience A sound understanding of warehouse or logistics operations, including safe manual handling, stock control and basic vehicle safety, with a strong awareness of health & safety and lone working responsibilities. Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics or operational environment is essential. Experience of lone working, stock management or driving company vehicles is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. A full UK driving licence with no relevant or current endorsements is essential. The role includes occasional driving of company vans to deliver and collect stock.
