Our Shops

We're Royal Trinity Hospice, London's answer to sustainable fashion.

We think our charity shops are some of the best around. Come and visit us soon!

We are so pleased to announce our latest collab with Re.Born Swim, helping our mission to be London’s answer to sustainable fashion! They are a small and sustainable female run business that makes sustainable swimwear.

Whilst you might think that swimwear is only for summer, a whopping 80% of us confess to buying a new swimsuit every year. Re.Born swim are a brand trying to get away from this trend and make swim, a thing all year round. Not only do they make timeless pieces, but they also use by-products and off-cuts to make them which would have otherwise been destined for landfill. Hello sustainable swimwear! girl in a shirt and trousers holding a reborn swim tote bag

As part of this new and exciting collab we gave Re.Born swim full access to our Clapham charity shops on Northcote Road and Clapham Junction, where they could loan pieces they needed for their A/W collection shoot. Georgia searched high and low for what she needed in both the women's and menswear sections.

We spoke to Re.Born swims founder, Georgia Braithwaite, about the collab and her new brand:

How did re.born swim happen?

Like every other lockdown-born brand, it's been a journey! A Yorkshire-lass at heart, I relocated down to London in 2018 to pursue my career within fashion buying, ultimately knowing the big dream would to one day launch my own label. In Sept 2020, I did just that. Two years on, we've gone from literal sketches on paper, to making the Daily Mail just a single day into launch, debuting two major runways and more recently joining the ASOS Marketplace family (a huge milestone!) with plenty more exciting projects in the pipeline.

Why did you decide to make a sustainable swimwear?

I think it's fair to say we've all had our fair share of struggles when it comes to shopping swimwear and my mission was (and still is) to change that. With inclusivity at the forefront, through designs that flatter every "body", our pieces combine capsule shape with trend colour encouraging less seasonal and more season "less" purchases for year-round wear. Our pieces also encourage you to get more mileage out of your swimwear with the versatility of the products, and they promote a more conscious and circular approach to shopping.

Why was it important to you to collaborate with Trinity on your latest shoot?

With our ethos being centred around supporting small and leaning on local, I was super keen to centre our AW/22 shoot around the beauty of styling and promoting the independents/charitable causes out there, doing the most for local communities.

Being local to London, I actually only stepped foot into the Clapham Junction shop for the first time a week prior to our shoot on the hunt for some shoot staples/props. Through the power of social media and the likes of Tiktok etc. I'd heard a lot about Royal Trinity Hospice so I felt this could be a match made in heaven! Not only finding alignment through our joint mission of promoting preloved, but to do so on behalf of an incredible charitable cause would be an honour. As a teeny tiny start-up in the grand scheme of things, we are all the more aware of how the small actions go the furthest.

What do you love about preloved fashion/charity shopping?

The ability to provide a new lease of life and you don’t know what you might stumble upon!

There's something for everyone. Regardless of style, demographic etc. with so many people donating you're almost always bound to find something. Equally, you're supporting the incredible work of charitable causes when you shop secondhand.

What was your favourite piece that you loaned from our shop?

Girl wearing a bikini top, waistcoat and tailored trousers

Had to be the tailored set! I'm such a fan of a boxy fit and paired with our statement triangle set- really was a match made in heaven. I'd actually dug deep within the men’s section to get my hands on this beauty!

What’s next for Royal Trinity Hospice x Re.Born swim?

Who knows! I'm super drawn to the in-store brand edit opportunities so watch this space!
