Mulberry Musicians

The Mulberry Musicians take their annual Christmas concert online. Watch it here for free here.

Expand

The Mulberry Musicians are Trinity's resident musical ensemble. Named after the Mulberry Room where they perform at the hospice, the Mulberrys were founded by professional musicians Matt Maguire and Abi Hyde-Smith alongside the fantastic support of Trinity volunteer Mary Moody, with the aim of providing outstanding chamber music concerts for Trinity's patients, their friends and relatives, volunteers and staff throughout the year. The concerts are also a great opportunity to invite members of the local community into Trinity to understand a bit more about the work of the hospice.

The Mulberry Musicians usually perform four concerts every year at Trinity. Their concerts are free and open to all. Due to current visiting restrictions at Trinity, their annual Christmas concert is available for free, online, for you to enjoy from the comfort and safety of home.

So turn your sound up, relax, get ready to sing along and press play!

Performers: Violins: Michael Jones, Rose Hinton Viola: Matt Maguire Cello: Abi Hyde-Smith

Pegasus Choir

The Pegasus Choir perform three festive carols for Royal Trinity Hospice

Expand

We are very grateful to Pegasus Choir for recording these beautiful carols for our annual Light up a Light service this year, despite not being able to join us in person to perform. This continues their long association with Trinity and we are already looking forward to welcoming them back to join us for next year’s service.

You can watch all three carols performed in the video below, or click here to watch the full Light up a Life service.

Since its founding in 1995, Pegasus Choir has built up a reputation as one of London’s most versatile and exciting chamber choirs. The ensemble has developed an extensive repertoire embracing sacred and secular music from the Renaissance to the present day. Pegasus Choir has worked with the London Handel Orchestra and the Southbank Sinfonia and in 2018 formed the chorus for a staged production of Handel’s Acis and Galatea for the London Handel Festival, conducted by Laurence Cummings.

Pegasus Choir has been featured on BBC Radio, Classic FM and Channel 4. The choir’s first CD, Twelve Days – A Celebration of Christmas, is available online. A second CD, For the Fallen: Choral music from the time of the Great War, was released on Signum Classics in 2018.

You can find out more about Pegasus and join the choir’s email list at www.pegasuschoir.org.uk. Visit
the choir on facebook.com/pegasuschoir or follow Pegasus on Twitter @pegasuschoir.
