About Daniel Holloway

Daniel brings 30 years of senior retail experience from the charity and commercial retail sectors, including with some of the UK’s most iconic brands. He has an eye for and track record of identifying opportunities to drive sales, optimise profit, and get the very best out of his team.  

Daniel joined Royal Trinity Hospice in August 2019 and set about transforming the Trinity retail offer: since inheriting 32 stores with a net profit of £1.3m p/a in 2019, under his leadership, 21 stores delivered £2.1m net profit in 2023.  

Prior to joining Trinity, Daniel was the UK & Ireland Retail Director for the iconic luxury jewellers Tiffany & Co and before that, spent five years at Harrods as Head of Customer Experience and Deputy Store Director.  

Daniel’s wealth of expertise in driving sales and profit and his experience spearheading the customer proposition as Head of Customer Experience at Harrods has enabled him to transform Royal Trinity Hospice retail by blending his insights from previous roles with the unique environment and opportunities of charity retail.  

Environmental sustainability is a core element of Daniel’s strategy, and he was thrilled when in 2023, Royal Trinity Hospice won the Charity Retail Association’s Environmental & Sustainability Award for the “Seven Steps to Sustainability” programme. In September 2024, Royal Trinity Hospice’s Fulham outpost was named the London winner by popular vote in the “UK’s Favourite Charity Shop” Award.  

Daniel has driven this commercial success through his team. Leading, coaching and mentoring are at the heart of his approach. His commitment to developing people and promoting internally wherever possible has resulted in 75% of shop managers being appointed internally and 90% of Head Office roles filled by members of the Royal Trinity Hospice shops team.
