Whether you want to support Trinity in memory of a loved one or simply as a local good cause, we will look after you every step of the way, offering advice, special events and, of course, the coveted orange Trinity running vest! Swim Serpentine Read more On Saturday 16 September, Trinity is offering you the opportunity to take part in a one-day open water swimming festival, staged around the Serpentine in Hyde Park, the venue for the open water swimming competition at the 2012 London Olympics. This year thousands of swimmers will take part in the Half-Mile, One-Mile, Two-mile and Super Six swims! Every Swimmer will be able to choose their starting wave, with swims starting throughout the day. We have 17 places available to swimmers aged 12 and above with all abilities welcome. London to Brighton Bike Ride Read more Join Trinity and 5,000 other cyclists on Sunday 17 September and take part in the London to Brighton bike ride, raising vital funds for the care we provide to our patients and their families. Starting on Clapham Common, your challenge will take you through Mitcham, Carshalton, Banstead and Haywards Heath, onto your finishing line at the sunny seaside City of Brighton, having completed 56 miles in one day! Your ride will take you along quiet country lanes, before you tackle the mile long climb to the top of the South Downs at Ditchling Beacon, to be rewarded with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. This iconic route includes two scheduled water stops, a free buffet lunch at halfway and a clearly marked route, so don’t worry about needing a map! The spirit of the event is taking part, not winning, so you can go at your own pace and enjoy the day. Trinity is bringing all the excitement of these TV moments to you with our most exciting challenge event of 2017 - Rough Runner! On Sunday 17 September, Trinity is offering you the opportunity to take part in Rough Runner, an obstacle-course challenge event combining distance running with obstacles, each inspired by classic TV game shows. Staged opposite Trinity on Clapham Common in London, participants can choose from a five or ten kilometre course and will take on obstacles such as the famous sweeper arms, big balls and the mighty travellator. Trinity has 40 places available to participants of all abilities and ages, so apply now as an individual or as a team and represent Trinity in our biggest challenge event of 2017. This year marks the race’s 10th anniversary, so there will be lots of special surprises on the day for both the runners and spectators, including at the fabulous Food & Fitness Festival! This spectacularly varied trek will take Team Trinity right to the heart of the ancient Ming Dynasty, through woods and farmland, hills and mountains, along old and restored sections of the Great Wall. There will be opportunities to explore the bustle of Beijing, sight-see at the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, climb ‘Heaven’s Ladder’ and wind through farming terraces – whilst spending nights in both mountainous hotels and rural village homestays. If you think that you are up to the challenge of taking part in this iconic sporting event and can pledge to raise over £2,000 for Royal Trinity Hospice, please complete our online application form. Applications close on Sunday 3 September. All applicants will be notified regarding their place by Friday 8 September. Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee places to all applicants as we are significantly oversubscribed, however it is still possible for you to support Trinity if you are lucky enough to secure a place through the ballot! This once in a lifetime experience is a great way for thrill-seekers to raise much-needed funds. Skydiving can also be booked as a group so makes a great team-building exercise too!
