We are thrilled to announce our brand-new charity shop in the heart of Brixton is now open! Our 22nd shop is located on Brixton Road just a stone’s throw away from the station. This bright and beautiful new shop is filled with great quality preloved fashion and accessories which have been donated both by the public and directly from some of fashion’s most recognisable brands.

Daniel Holloway, Director of Retail at Royal Trinity Hospice said:

“We have wanted to bring Royal Trinity Hospice shops to Brixton for some time and we are so excited to be joining the varied and lively shopping offer on the high street. With this new shop, we were keen to celebrate our commitment to sustainability in the construction of the shop itself, with a result we hope our customers are delighted with.” 

In our mission to be “London’s answer to sustainable fashion”, many of the shop’s interior fixtures have been constructed using reclaimed materials, some of which have been sourced locally. Brixton-based company InUse-ReUse has transformed pallets salvaged from nearby Brixton market and donated denim that cannot be sold into seating and fixtures in the shop. The shop also incorporates tiles made from part-recycled materials and reclaimed light fixtures. Even the fitting room curtains are made from recycled bottles!

Neila McGregor, Shop Manager for the new Brixton Road shop said:

“I can’t wait to welcome our first customers and for them to see the care and attention we have paid to ensuring that it is a welcoming and stunning environment to make amazing discoveries of preloved fashion. Shops like ours rely on the generosity of our community to keep us going with great donations of women’s and menswear. We turn these donations into funds that support a local cause caring for people in the community every day. I look forward to getting to know our new customers and donors.”

We are also looking for new volunteers to support the running of the shop by helping with sorting and processing donations, styling and merchandising and assisting customers.
